Depths

Don’t ever stop

while walking

the tightrope that’s life

for the fear of falling down.

As downward it may be,

depth is but a distance after all.

And who knows

you might get hold of

a few diamonds

on your way as well,

for that’s where

diamonds are found –

in the depths.

  1. Ahhh this was so great!! Exactly what I needed to hear right now.. I always fear ‘falling down’ so much that I usually jump on my own… :/ :/ But you gotta stay on top!! The views so much greater from up there 😎

      1. Your poem went on to inspire me – I’ve written something I’ve called “Darknesses and Diamonds”, with a link to your poem at the end. Hope you continue to find many diamonds amongst the darkness. Best wishes, Michael.

    1. Thanks so much! 🙏🙏 It is a tightrope, isn’t it? Too often the balance goes wrong, and we fall, to again get going… appreciate you taking out the time to read…🤘✌🤘:-):-)

      1. And so easy to fear the downward. Your words put a wonderful thought in my head that any movement is movement and we make of it what we will. I truly enjoyed every word you wrote 😊👍👍
